I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and Master’s degree from Grand Valley State University.I then pursued my Clinical Doctorate from Northwestern University with a focus within healthcare leadership, clinical research design, and medical education. I holds certification through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed in the state of Michigan. My clinical expertise includes voice, swallow, and upper way disorders and those with neurological speech, language, and cognitive disorders. I sought specialized training in Ampcare’s Effective Swallow Protocol (ESP), which uses neuromuscular electrical stimulation to rehabilitate swallowing disorders.I have been recognized by ASHA for my commitment to life long learning, and was named an ACE award recipient. With my unique combination of clinical, research, and leadership training, I offer an exclusive perspective when caring for my patients, mentoring my students, and working on cross functional teams.
